Brief mention was made last week of the death of Mrs. Alfred Magnusson in Des Moines where she has made her home sinfe 1957. Burial services were held Wednesday afternoon at the lamily lot in Oak Hill cemetery with Reverend J. Leslie Leonard, of the First Presbyterian Church offication. Casket bearers were Horace Magnusson, Abert Hefty, Odean Sandry, Vernon Peters, Curtis Lenz, and Edwin Cooper.

As Louisa reed she was born in Lansing twp July 2nd 1881 at the old homestead north of Lansing where she attended rural schools and on April 16th 1902 was married to Alfred Magnusson and they made their home here. Mr. Magnusson passed away about fifteen years ago.

Left to mourn her passing are five sons, Edward of Oklahoma City; Norman, Omaha NE; Harold, Green Bayv VA; George, San Diego, CA; Milton, Des Moines; one sister, Mrs. Caroline Cooper of Lansing,; 7 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Magnusson was a real home lady, a kind and loving Christian mother and good neighbor devoted to her family.
