Richard Henry Reed died at 9:30 p.m. Wednesday after a short illness. He was 82 years old, born in Westmoreland county, Virginia, on May 10, 1863, and had been a resident of St. Cloud for more than 50 years.

Sons and daughters surviving are Henry in Portland, Oregon; George in California; Joseph in Virginia, and James, Norman and Eva, Mrs. Roland Mauder, St. Paul; Mary Elizabeth, Chicago; Harry Reed, St. Cloud. Brothers and sisters are Joseph Reed, Mrs. Geroge Magnusson and Mrs. Edwin Cooper, in Lansing, Iowa; Mrs. Alice Rippe, New Albin, Iowa.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. at the Tschumperlin Funeral home with Dr. H. C. Logan officating with burial in North Star cemetery. The body will be at Tschumperlin's Funeral home on Friday afternoon.
