Mrs. John Kasser, about two miles north of town, died last Saturday.

Note: Elizabeth Bahler, daughter of Daniel and Elizabeth Trachsel Bahler, was born 29 October 1820 in Wattenwil, Canton of Bern, Switzerland. She married Johannes Kaser on 6 February 1841 in Munsingen, Switzerland. She died 21 July 1883 on the family farm just north of Waukon, Iowa and is buried alongwith her husband in the adjacent Makee Cemetery. She was survived by her husband and seven children.
