bituary for Mrs. Fredericka Stock from the Waukon Standard paper January 1911

Mrs. Stock whose death occurred on Wednesday, January 18 (1911), was nearing her 78th year, having been born in Hohenhausen, Lippe Detmold, Germany, on March 13, 1833. She came to this country in 1857, and direct to this county, which has been her home ever since. Her marriage to William Stock took place in 1857 and until his death twelve years ago they resided on the old homestead east to town. Mrs. Stock removed to Waukon later and this was her home until her death. A family of nine children mourn the passing of a Dear mother. They are William and Henry of Howard, Miner Co., SD, Mrs. F. W. Steffen of Diller, NB, Charles, August, Miss Sophia, Theodore, and Louis of Waukon and vicinity and Edward of Oakes, ND.

The funeral was held Friday from the German Church, services being conducted by Rev. Vornholt. Interment followed at the cemetery near the old homestead east of town.
