Decker Funeral Held Saturday

The death of Ernest Lee Decker, 34, of Waukon occurred Tuesday, March 4 in the Lutheran Hospital in LaCrosse, Wis.
He was born Oct 14, 1940 in Allamakee county and was a son of Ernest E. and Cora Smith Decker. He attended the local schools and his occupation was farming. Divorced, he is survived by two children, Jenell, five, and Adam, three; his parents, and the following sisters and brothers: Mrs. Maloy (Helen) Johanningmeier, Mrs. Wylo (Maureen) Wagner and Mrs. Richard (Annabelle) Marti, all of Waukon, Mrs. Joe (Avis) Berns of Monona, Mrs. Randall (Bernetta) Appleton of Edgewood, Mrs. Geraldine Thies of Cedar Rapids, Mrs. Joe (Janice) Holland of Butterfield, Minn., George of Waukon and Gerald of Gillette, Wyo. Funeral services were held Saturday, March 8 at 1:30 p.m. from First Presbyterian Church in Waukon with the Rev. William Tjaden officiating. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery with Martin Funeral home in charge of arrangements. Steve Smith, Elmer Smith, Cletus Fish, LeRoy Fish, Harold Fish, Gary Decker, Donald Berg, and Dean Decker were pallbearers.
