Justice Bensch Dies In Lansing
FORMER CONTRACTOR BORN IN ALLAMAKEE IN 1866 MYOCARDITIS VICTIM
Edward A. Bensch, 70, passed away at his home April 8th. After an illness of myocarditis and nephiritis of which he had been suffering for some time.
Diseased was the son of the late Henry and Magaline Bensch, born at Lansing February 23, 1866.In 1887 he was married to Caroline Carroll· at Omaha, Neb. For many years they made their home ·1in Lansing where Mr. Bensch was engaged as a contractor and for many years held the office of justice of peace.
He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. B. B. Hickenlooper, Cedar Rapids and two sons, J. G. of Des Moines, and H.C. of Decorah, all of whom were present at the funeral.
He leaves to mourn also, one sister, Mrs. W. B. Fager and two brothers, Henry and John, all of Jamestown, N.D.
Funeral services were held from the Saam funeral parlor April 10, at 3 p. m. with Reverend Hoffman in charge of the services. Burial was made in Oak Hill cemetery.
