Wm. Buege Meets Accidental death At Farm Sale in County
William Buege, long time resident; of Allamakee county was accidentally killed Thursday afternoon while attending a farm auction sale on the Clarence Fink place north of Waukon. Mr. Buege was standing on the end-gate of a loaded truck when it skidded on the ice, crashed
into a post and crushed the body of the victim. He was rushed to the Waukon hospital where he died a few hours later.The deceased was born in ·Germany on March 19, 1872, and came to this county with his parents 64 years ago and settled in this country. He was 66 years old at the time of death. ·Mr. Buege, who was never married, was engaged as a farm laborer for many years in this county. Surviving are four sisters, Mrs. Bertha Dawson of Union City township; Mrs. Minnie Ashbacher, Mrs. Lydia Bublitz and Mrs. Amelia Zezulka of French Creek township; four brothers, Frank of New A1bin, Herman of Waukon, Amil of Lansing, and Ferdinand of Waukon.
Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon in the French Creek Methodist church with the Rev. B. J. Kindred officiating, and burial was in the cemetery nearby.
