John Roland Nagel was born December 21, 1962, in Waukon, Iowa, to Roland and Mary (Ferguson) Nagel. He passed away Sunday, May 18, 1980, in an automobile accident in Gillette, Wyoming.

John attended Postville area schools and was a member of the Bethlehem Presbyterian Church. He was baptised in January of 1963 at the Zion Reformed Church of Waukon. He was confirmed May 6, 1979 at the Bethlehem Presbyterian Church.

At the time of his death he was working in the oil fields in Wyoming.

John is survived by his parents; his grandparents Mr. and Mrs. William Ferguson and Mr. and Mrs. Ed Nagel; his brothers Ronald and Jerry; and his sisters Nancy, Susan, and Lori.
