H.A.Hanson, 70. Died yesterday at 4:40 p.m. at his home, 1915 West Ninth Street. He had been in failing health for 10 months.
He was born Dec. 13, 1873 at Waukon as the son of Gilbert and Andrena Hanson. On June 20, 1917 he was married to Minnie Nelson at Waukon.
Mr. Hanson had made his home in Cedar Falls for the past twenty years moving here from Waukon. He had formerly been employed as meat cutter at the Adam's Store, Waterloo retiring March 15, 1943. He was a member of the Nazarene Lutheran Church.
Surviving are the widow; a son, Lieut. Norman Hanson, in the quatermaster division of the army stationed overseas; three brothers, John, Albert, and Gilman, all of Waukon; two sisters, Mrs. Nettie Bakkum, Fossum, Minn. and Mrs. Gilbert Smedsrud, Waukon.
A prayer service will be held at 9 a.m. tomorrow from the Brown Funeral Home with Rev. Christian Justesen officiating. Another service will be held Friday at 2:30 p.m. at the Lutheran Church, Waukon with Rev. Kjorlaug officiating. Burial will be made in Waukon.
