Rudolph F. Thies

The Rev. Lenwood Mohle was in charge of funeral rites for Rudolph F. Thies, 86, at the Schutte Funeral Home on Saturday, August 10, at 3:00 p.m. Interment was in the Postville Cemetery.

Rudolph F. Thies was born February 12, 1882 in Clayton County, Iowa, the son of Charles Thies and Lena Meyer Thies, and died August 8, 1968 at the Woodlawn Nursing Home, Waterloo.

The deceased had farmed in the Postville area where he had been a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. He lived here until the death of his sister, Mrs. Herman C. Christofferson, when he moved to Waterloo where he made his home with his sister, Mrs. E. N. Quamme, who survives him, along with several nieces and nephews.
