Mrs. Wm. Beardmore, Sr., of Union City, passed away Sunday morning at 1:15 o'clock, after an illness of several months superinduced by an attack of la grippe.

Deceased was aged 70 years, 6 months and 5 days. She had been a resident of the township for about thirty-one years and was a Christian of sterling character and greatly beloved by all.

The funeral took place at Mt. Hope yesterday at 2:00 o'clock, and the large attendance testified more eloquently than can any words of ours to the esteem in which she was regarded as friend and neighbor.
