RITES HELD FOR MRS. ALICE MILLER

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 p.m. at the Community Presbyterian Church for Mrs. Alice Miller, 71, who passed away at Postville Hospital on Saturday following an illness of two and one-half years.

The rites were in charge of Rev. Walter T. Martin. Burial was at New Hampton.

Alice Edna Sewell, daughter of Edson and Nancy Sewell, was born January 16, 1880 in Chickasaw county, Iowa. She passed away at the Postville Community Hospital Saturday, November 3.

Alice Sewell was married to Henry Miller in June 1908 at New Hampton. They moved to Postville the same year where Mr. Miller held the post ___ of agent for the Chicago, Milwaukee and St. Paul Railroad. To this union two children were born, a son Sewell who died when a baby, and a daughter Ellen Gertrude.

Mrs. Miller was a member of the O. E. S., the White Shrine, the Community Presbyterian Church of Postville and the Monday Club.

She is survived by her step-mother, Mrs. Anna Sewell of New Hampton; a daughter Ellen Gertrude Miller of Highland Park, Illinois; and a brother, Everett A Sewell of Webster, South Dakota.
