Hold Rites For Roland W. Miller

Funeral services for Roland W. Miller, 58, were held Monday, May 12, 1980 at 1:30 p.m. at St. Paul Lutheran church in Postville. The Rev. David R. Nelson officiated. Schutte Funeral Service was in charge of arrangements with burial in the Postville Cemetery.

Roland Miller, son of William and Louise (Kruger) Miller, was born August 25, 1921 in Post Township, Allamakee County, Iowa. He died May 9, 1980 at Lutheran Hospital, LaCrosse.

He was baptized September 18, 1921 and confirmed April 14, 1935 at St. Paul Lutheran Church. He received his education in the rural schools of Post Township. On April 12, 1944 he was married to Marjorie Stock at the Bethlehem Presbyterian Church. The couple farmed in Ludlow Township.

Preceding him in death are his father and a daughter, Elaine. He is survived by his wife; a daughter, Doreen Decker of Postville; three grandchildren; his mother, Louise Miller of Postville; one brother, Vernon of Postville; and four sisters, Mrs. Earl (Evelyn) Walsh of Madison, Wis.; Mrs. Charles (Helen) Bahr and Mrs. John (Arlene) Beisker both of Waukon, and Mrs. Edwin (Leone) McKee of Luana.

Submitter note: Daughter Elaine Kay Miller, born 1945 and died in 1965.
