Donald Weber

Donald Weber, age 71, of New Albin died Thursday afternoon, May 17, 2007 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire, WI. Funeral Services were held Monday, May 21 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in New Albin. Burial with military rites was in St. Joseph Cemetery in New Albin.

Donald was born in Lansing November 8, 1935 to Herman and Pearl (Hurley) Weber. In 1953 he graduated from Immaculate Conception High School in Lansing. From 1956 to 1958 he served in the Army, which included being stationed in Korea. Don married the love of his life, Carol Darling, July 26, 1958 at St. Joseph Church, New Albin. In 1971 he started Weber Construction/Supply.

Don was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He worked hard all of his life. Other than still being active in the business, his greatest joys were riding his John Deere tractor, surfing the internet and being a grandpa. Don was also an avid duck hunter and story teller.

Don is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Carol Weber of New Albin; seven children, Debbie (Terry) Utke of Waukon, Mary (Anton) Kidess of Eau Claire, WI, Teri Moore (friend Jason Wenthold) of Lansing, Connie (Mike) Mauss of LaCrescent, MN, Neal (Mary) Weber of New Albin, Todd Weber of New Albin, and Jennifer (Damon) Olson of New Albin; 24 very special grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; three siblings, Herman (Sharon) Weber of Salem, WI, Charles (Barbara) Rettinger of Masonville, and Charlene 'Siss' (Bill) Stallman of Fairfax.

Donald was preceded in death by his parents; a grandson, Creed Moore; three brothers, Harold, Joseph and Robert Weber; two sisters, Mary Alice Van Brocklin and Margaret Spurgeon; and special parents-in-law, Melvin (Dag) and Mildred (Millie) Darling.

Casketbearers were Novah Moore, Chase Moore, Dion Mauss, Weston Mauss, Tonia Weber and Mathew Weber.
