Mrs. Lena Hagen, 87, died Thursday, October 27, 1966, at her home in Union City Township.

She was born to Mr. and Mrs. Herman Welper on September 8, 1879, in Union City Township. She was married February 28, 1901 to Gerhard Hagen. He died in 1944.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. George Todter of New Albin; and Mrs. William Scheele of Dubuque; one son, John Hagen of New Albin; one brother, Walter Welper of Waukon; three sisters, Mrs. Louis Wiemerslage and Mrs. Herman Renk of New Albin; and Mrs. Charles King of Waukon; four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Martin Brother's Funeral Home in Waukon. Rev. Edward DeBuhr officiated. Burial was in the New Albin Cemetery.
