Frank Wickham

Funeral services were held Thursday, December 26, at the funeral home in Hawkeye for Frank E. Wickham, who passed away December 23, 1963. Burial was in the Oakland cemetery at Smoke Town.

Frank Edwin Wickham was born July 6, 1877 in Allamakee county near Waukon, the son of John and Emma (Williams) Wickham. He passed away December 23 at the age of 86 years, five months and 17 days.

On September 6, 1907 he was united in marriage to Miss Jennie Nims of near Alpha. To this union eight children were born.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Almon and Will; one sister, Mrs. Ed (Ella) Miller; two sons, Clarence, who passed away November 17, 1962 and Clifford, who died in infancy; a daughter, Edna Mae who died at the age of seven; and three grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Jennie of Alpha; one brother, John of Cedar Rapids; one sister, Mrs. Willis (Dottie) Fuller of Waukon; three sons, Earl and Fay of Postville and Bielie (sic) of Alpha; two daughters, Mrs. Eben (Ruby) Pierce of Alpha and Mrs. Victor (Florence) Liebold of Waterloo; 18 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; besides many relatives and friends.
