ALLAMAKEE Plane crash victims shared love of music Leo and Lloyd Weber shared their love for music and their last names, even though they were not related. Sunday, the two men and their wives died together when the plane Leo was piloting crashed into the side of Pearis Mountain in Virginia during a storm. Leo, a retired Prairie du Chien police officer and mail carrier, was 68 and his wife, Florence, was 66. Lloyd, a retired Allamakee County farmer, was 64 and his wife, Elaine, was 60. The two couples traveled to North and South Carolina to visit relatives last week. They were returning home Sunday when the plane crashed. Lloyd Weber was the saxophone player in a well-known three-piece polka band, the Toetappers. Leo was a part-time drummer in the band and used to own the Winneshiek nightclub in Prairie du Chien.
