Milton V. Martens,69, of 626 Sixth St. SE, died Monday in Mercy Medical Center after a long illness. Services: 11 a.m. Thursday, Turner Chapel East, where friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. today and after 9 a.m. Thursday. Burial: Oak Hill Cemetery. Survivors include a son, Curtis of Mahomet, Ill.; three daughters, Deb Sirowy of Brighton, Colo., Barb Obadal of Coralville and Connie Trout of Center Point; a brother, Harlen of Cedar Rapids; and five sisters, Mildred Krousie of Luana, Ruth Klein, Eileen Klein and Shirley Marsden, all of Cedar Rapids, and Marian Thornton of Postville. Also surviving are a good friend, Betty Hammond; eight grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. He was born June 3, 1922, in Allamakee County and was employed by the Cedar Rapids Sanitation Department. A memorial fund has been established.
