LANSING. Violet I. McMullen,71, formerly of Decorah and Castalia, died of cancer Thursday in her home. Services: 11 a.m. Monday, Decorah Lutheran Church. Burial: Phelps Cemetery, Decorah. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Sunday at Fjelstul Funeral Home, Decorah, and one hour before service time Monday at the church.

Survivors include a daughter, Sandy Mangrich of Lansing; a son, Ralph of Ossian; two brothers, Merlyn Holm and Ralph Holm, both of Decorah; and four sisters, Oletta Melka of Cedar Falls, Esther Reckward of Castalia, Frances Lindsay of Lansing and Helen Christenson of St. Peter, Minn.
