Frank Lawson

Funeral services for Frank Lawson were held Wednesday, Sept. 29, 1982 at 11 a.m. at the Community Presbyterian Church in Postville. The Rev. Dennis E. Morey officiated with Rev. Curtis Webster having a part in the service. The Schutte Funeral Service was in charge of arrangements. Burial was in the Postville Cemetery.

Frank H. Lawson, son of William and Bertha (Roffman) Lawson, was born January 27, 1892 in Post Township, Allamakee County, Iowa. He died Sept. 26, 1982 at the Good Samaritan Center in Postville.

He received his education at the Evergreen School. On Oct. 30, 1912 he was married to Ruby M. Hammel of Postville. To this union three children were born. They farmed until 1960 when they retired and moved to Postville.

He was a member of the Community Presbyterian Church in Postville.

He is preceded in death by his wife, his parents, five brothers: Fred, Elmer, Sherman, John and Leonard; a sister, Zelma and a granddaughter, Rita Marie.

Surviving are two sons and their wives, Gordon and Florence and Leslie and Emma, all of Postville, a daughter and her husband, Marie and Harvey Wickman of Palm Harbor, Florida; two grandchildren, Mrs. Michael (Beverly) Miner of Victorville, Calif. and Mrs. William (Laura) Radloff of Luana, five great grandchildren, Chad, Petra and Amber Radloff of Luana; Christina and Brandi Melcher and two sisters, Mrs. Alta Peterson of Waukon and Vera Webber of Cedar Rapids.
