Milton Lawson
Milton "Cookie" Lawson, 56, rural North Freedom, WI, died on March 2, 1986, at the Sauk-Prairie Memorial Hospital.
He was born June 10, 1929 in Postville, the son of Harold and Verla Sybert Lawson.
He married the former Ann Worner in Germany on April 17, 1954. He was retired from the U.S. Army following 20 years of service on Jan. 1, 1969.
He was a member and elder of the First Presbyterian Church, Prairie du Sac, a member of the Sauk-Prairie Lachmund-Cramer V. F. W. Post No. 7694, the Sauk-Prairie Masonic Lodge No. 113, and the Sauk City Men's Club.
Survivors include his wife, Ann, his mother, Verla, of McGregor, two daughters, Eleonore Swinford of Griffith, IN and Linda Reible of Poynette, WI; four grandchildren; five brothers: Charles, William, Michael, Robert and Gaylord; and a sister, Margaret Johnson.
He was preceded in death by his father, Harold in 1957.
Memorial services with military rites were held at the First Presbyterian Church on March 8 with Rev. Larry Collins officiating.
Interment was at Forest Hill Mausoleum, Madison, WI. Arrangements were made by the Gnewikow Funeral Home, Sauk City, WI.
