Tuesday, March 5, 1934. Fred Renne suddenly passes away.

Friends of Fred Renne, resident of Jefferson township were shocked Tuesday to hear of his death that morning. Mr. Renne had attended church Sunday morning, and Monday was about his place doing the farm work. He had a bad cold, but did not think it serious until Tuesday morning, shortly before his death occurred.

Fred Renne was born May 26, 1872, in Ludlow township, a son of Mr. and Mrs. William Renne, early residents of this county. He married Mary Klocke and four children were born to this union, one daughter, Mrs. Esther Ehde, having preceded her father in death. After the death of his first wife Mr. Renne married Margaret Kuhn.

He is survived by his wife, three children, Mrs. Ben (Laura) Bechtel of Jefferson township, Meta at home, and Arthur, of Ludlow township. Also Carl Beall, whom they have given a home since the death of his mother several years ago.

He also is survived by two brothers, Paul of Waukon, Gustave of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and one half brother Charles of Jefferson, and one sister, Mrs. Charles Wallace of Ludlow township.

Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at the home and at Zion Reformed church at 2:00 o'clock, conducted by the pastor, Reverend F. E. Stucki. Interment will be made in Oakland cemetery.
