Aug. 27, 1916 Death of Mrs. Wm. Rinne.

Mrs. William Rinne, nee Johanna Caroline Henrietta Kugel, was born July 23, 1846, at Market Brandenburg, Germany. She was the second eldest child of Mr. and Mrs. Gottlieb Kugel. She was wedded to Mr. William Rinne April 18, 1876, the same year she arrived in this country, and has lived in this vicinity ever since. With her husband she removed to Waukon several years ago and their home was in the second ward.

She departed from this life Sunday at midnight. The five children, Fred, Charlie, Gustave, Mrs. Charles Wallace and Paul, two sisters, five brothers, eight grandchildren and the aged husband remain to mourn her loss.

The funeral services will take place Thursday at Zion Reformed church in this city and interment will be at the Oakland cemetery. Services will begin at the house at one p.m. and at the church about 1:30 p.m.

This was William Rinne's second marriage. The spelling of the last name Rinne would later be changed to Renne.
