Funeral services for Ervin D. Goeke, Ludlow township farmer who passed away at a La Crosse hospital following a short illness on Wednesday, September 18, were held on Saturday, September 21, at the Bethlehem Presbyterian church, the Rev. John Bartell officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery.

A son of Edward and Laura Nolte Goeke, he was born in this vicinity on January 5, 1912. On February 14, 1945 he was united in marriage to Minnie Guese, who survives, as do his parents of Decorah, a brother, Donald of Winona, Minnesota, and a sister, Mrs. Hubert Doherty (Arlene) of Burlington.
