Marian Valley

Marian Valley, 70, of Harpers Ferry, died Feb. 6, 2001, at her home.

Funeral services were held Fri., Feb. 9 at St. Ann's/St. Joseph's Catholic Church under the direction of Father Louis Trzil. Interment was in Paint Rock Cemetery.

Marian was born May 8, 1930, in Dubuque, to Charles and Margaret Davies and was adopted by Lawrence and Helen (Gander) Pitzer of Prairie du Chien, WI. On Oct. 28, 1948, she married Joe Valley at St. Gabriel's Catholic Church in Prairie du Chien.

Marian was owner and operator of Harpers Valley Supper Club for 21 years.

Surviving are three children, James and Mary Jo Wolcott and Jerry and Mari Beth Valley of Harpers Ferry, and Ralph Valley of Nashville, TN; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one brother.

Honorary pallbearers were James Williams, Vic Schiers, Bob Lingston, Norbert Brazell, and Mary School.

Pallbearers were Harley Lust, Pat Delaney, Walter Brockway, Richard Boot, Charles Ohnesorge, and Terry Nielson.

Hanson Funeral Home of Waukon assisted the family.
