The Late Mrs. Ella Evans
Mrs. Ella Evans died Tuesday noon, May 21st, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Herbert Frink in Jefferson township. She had been in failing health for sometime, but was up and about the house until that morning, when she became ill with pneumonia, which was the cause of her death.

On December 25, 1884, she was united in marriage with Abraham Evans. He passed away April 18, 1933. To this union eight children were born: Jannie, Roy, Arthur, and Mrs. James Fish who preceded her in death. Those left to mourn are William V. Evans of Waterloo: John C. Evans of La Crosse, Wis.; Mrs. Earl Ralston and Mrs. Herbert Frink, both of near Rossville, and a grandson, Robert Fish, with whom she made her home for several years; twelve grandchildren and five great grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. George Stahl of Rossville, two brothers, John M. Brooks and Gaddis, both of Postville. A half sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Brown, of Youngstown, Pa., passed away last week at the age of 96.
She was a member of the United Brethern church at the Forest Mills.
She was a kind wife, mother, sister and friend and will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at two o’clock at the Rossville Presbyterian church conducted by Rev. A. H. Grossheim. Burial was in the Smithfield cemetery. The pallbearers were Ray and Dewey Rush, Jess Fish, Henry Thornton, Chet Barr and Alfred Bergh.
