Services Held Friday For Mrs. Evelyn Wendel

The death of Mrs. Evelyn Wendel, 90, of Waukon occurred on Tuesday, October 29, at the Veterans Memorial Hospital. Funeral services were held on Friday at 1:30 p.m. from the First Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Wm. J. Tjaden officiating. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery at Lansing.

She was born on May 26, 1884, in French Creek Township to Gustav and Augusta Feuerhelm Dee. She was married on September 14, 1904, to A.T. Wendel, who passed away several years ago. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. John (Metha) O'Daniels, Clinton, Iowa; and Mrs. Kenneth (Colene) Brooks, Waukon;Three grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. A sister, Mrs. Malinda Cooper, of Santa Ana, Calif. also survives.

Martin Brothers was in charge of arrangements.
