Rites Saturday For Louise Schroeder
Final rites were conducted Saturday, Feb. 12, (1972) at 1:30 p.m. in St. Paul's Lutheran church for Louise Schroeder, who died Wednesday, Feb. 9, at St. Luke's Hospital, Cedar Rapids. The Rev. Norman Ullestad officiated. Burial was in Postville cemetery with Schutte Funeral Home in charge.
Louise Schroeder, daughter of Fred Schroeder and Louise Overbeck Schroeder, was born Sept. 30, 1892 in Grand Meadow Township, Clayton County.
She was baptized Dec. 18, 1892 and confirmed April 8, 1906, in St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Postville.
Miss Schroeder worked in a millinery store in Postville until the early 1930's, at which time she moved to Cedar Rapids where she managed millinery and ready-to-wear stores.
She was a member of First Lutheran Church, Cedar Rapids, BPW and Rebecca Lodge.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and three sisters.
She is survived by two sisters, Maggie (Mrs. Ed Knodt) Rosemont, Minnesota; Alma (Mrs. Albert Gulsvig) Postville; and nieces and nephews.
