Funeral services were conducted Thursday, October 30 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Postville, for Mrs. Elmer Zieman, who died at Community Memorial Hospital, Sunday, October 26. Dr. George W. Carlson officiated.

Adaila, the daughter of Louis and Emma Harnack Meyer, was born December 25, 1893, in Post Township, Allamakee County. She was married to Elmer Zieman February 17, 1915 at the home of her parents. The couple farmed in Grand Meadow Township until their retirement in 1941, when they moved to Postville.

Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband in 1957, a son Robert H. in infancy, her sister Mrs. Horace (Ella) Gordanier and three brothers, Hall C. Meyer and two in infancy.

Survivors include a son Lyle of Luana; two daughters, Mrs. Leone Deering, Postville, and Mrs. John (Gretchen) Stuhr, Cedar Rapids, 13 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Leo (Mabel) Heins, Postville.

Interment was in the Postville Cemetery.
