CARL CHRISTIAN SCHROEDER

Carl Christian Schroeder,who passing at Postville Hospital on Tuesday,October 25,1932,we briefly mentioned last week,was the youngest son of Carl and Maria Schroeder Township,Clayton County
October 7, 1886 and at the time of his demise was aged 46 years and 18 days.

He was baptized in infancy and became a member of St. Paul`s Lutheran Church in this city on Palm Sunday,March 31,1901, which membership continued until his death.

Carl was known to all as an upright and industrious young man of genial disposition and along the pathway of life made many friends who will learn of his passing with regret.In early life he took up the occupation of farming,which he followed diligently until two years ago,when failing health compelled him to retire. He was a patient sufferer and was appreciative of all kindnesses bestowed upon him by his friends.

The immediate relatives who mourn his departure are two brothers,Otto of Luana and Henry of Postville; one sister Mrs. Annie Muchow,S.D.; one nephew and two nieces,also of Hartford;and one uncle,John Schroeder of this city.
