OBITUARIES
WAYNE DEAN SELDERS
  Wayne Dean, son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter A. Selders, was born in Montgomery County, Iowa, Aug. 20, 1930 and passed away at the Mercy Hospital at Council Bluffs, Iowa at nine a. m. Aug. 27, 1946 at the age of 16 years and 7 days after an illness of four months resulting from a bullet wound April 28, 1946.   Most of this time was spent in the hospitals at Creston and Council Bluffs, Iowa.  He attended the Montgomery and Adams County rural schools and one year of high school in Corning except the last three weeks.  He was well liked by all who knew him a and will be greatly missed by his relatives and friends.  He is survived by his parents; two sisters, Thelma Cletis Smith, Braddyville, Iowa, and Barbara Jean, at home; two brothers, Leland Dale Selders of Columbus, Ohio, Cleo Duane Selders of the U.S. Army, stationed at Ft. Benning, Georgia, and one brother who died in infancy.  Also four half sisters, Blanche Lucille Ryan, Rarkio, Mo., Leta Viola Rubin, Brooks, Iowa, Ruby Helen Blackburn. Essex, Iowa, Ethel Leola Jurshak, Elliott, Iowa, and one half brother who died in infancy.  Four nieces and five nephews, One grandmother Mrs. Ella Page, Avoca Iowa.  Also a number of Uncles and Aunts and many other relatives and friends.
  Funeral serices were held Aug. 29, at 2 o’clock, conducted by Rev. J. L. Gallogly in the Methodist church Corning, Iowa.
  Interment was in Griswold Cemetery.  
  Pall Bearers were: Robt. Easterlie, Ronald Gaskill, Jack Goard, Hallis Penfold, Chas. Israel, Bill Bixier.
  Music by Mrs. Russell Roland, accompanied by Eva Roland.
