Richard Warner Good was born Mary 26, 1866 in Grant, Iowa and passed away at the Eblen Rest Home in Creston, Iowa, April 6, 1952, at the age of 86 years, 10 months, and 11 days.
He was united in marriage to Emma Houck September 4, 1889. His wife preceded him in death four weeks ago. To this union nine children were born. One daughter, Maggie preceded her parents in death. The surviving are: Mae Perrin, of Quincy, Orval of California; Dr. Richard Good of Wadsworth, Kansas; Alan, Creston, Merle, Rupe, Henderson; Blanche Finley of Villisca; Vernon of Lincoln, Nebraska, and Harold of Carbon. He is also survived by 17 living grandchildren, two preceding him in death. Also 20 great-grandchildren survive him, and one sister, Sarah Good of Omaha, Nebraska. He was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.
Mr. Good was a member of the Seven Day Adventist Church. He will be greatly missed by his many relatives, friends, and neighbors.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, April 8, 1953, at 1:30 p.m. from the Boyd Roland Co. Funeral Home in Corning, with the Rev. Clare Boos officiating. Music was by Albert Mack, Warren Routh, Don Rought, accompanied by Mrs. Elsie Dotson on the piano. Interment was in the Quincy Cemetery.
Pall bearers were Dalls Perrin, Clifford Menck, Clifford Hill, Heldon Perrin, Verlin Hock, and Dean Hill.
