Ruth Genevieve Perrin, 73, Corning, was born to Harold Augustus and Claire Marie (Mitchell) Gray on February 12, 1924, at Canton, South Dakota. She died at Corning Nursing & rRhab Center in Corning on January 22, 1998.
She attended school in Nodaway and graduated from high school there.
She was married to Dallas Coquille Perrin on December 4, 1943, at Rock Port, Missouri, and they lived in Brooks.
Mrs. Perrin was a homemaker and has been employed at O’Brien Brothers in Bedford and at Burcliff Industries in Corning. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Brooks and also the United Methodist Women there
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 1996; daughter Claire Mae in 1953; a granddaughter and sister, Marguerite Kehr.
She is survived by her children, Ruth Perrin, Nebraska City, Nebraska, Jacqueline (husband Dale) Eating, Wellsville, Kansas; Randy (wife Virginia) Perrin, Carol Perrin and Amy (husband Paul) Matthels, all of Corning; brothers William Gray, Stanton, Jack Gray, Villisca, and Paul and James Gray, both of Prescott; brother-in-law, David (wife Frances) Kehr; and seven grandchildren.
Services were held January 26 at Coen-Beaty Funeral Home in Corning with the Rev. John Kelzer officiating. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery at Quincy in Adams County.
Casket bearers were Tom Gray, Mike Gray, Dennis Gray, Scot Perrin, Davin Perrin and Rocky Anderson.
Memorial are to the Brooks Community Hall.
