Abraham G. Grommons, for thirty-six years a resident of Nodaway, died at his home, Thursday, October 13, 1921, his death from paralysis.
Mr. Grommons was born February 1, 1867 in Manchester, Iowa. When a boy he moved with his parents to Coffee County Kansas, where he lived a few years, returning then to Arcadia, Iowa. He was married to Miss Mary C. Agnew on November 4, 1883 and in 1885 they moved to Nodaway, where they have since resided.
Mr Grommons was a member of the Presbyterian Church for more than thirty years, and for the last twenty years he has been one of the church elders, holding that position at the time of her death. Besides his wife he leaves two sisters. They are Mrs. Joanne Perkins and Mrs. Belle Perkins, both of Fairview, Oklahoma.
The funeral was held Saturday afternoon, October 15th, at the Presbyterian Church in Nodaway with Rev. Silas R. Overholser in charge of the services. Interment was in the Nodaway Cemetery.
