Mrs. Rose Dhone was born Taylor County, Iowa on November 17, 1868 and departed this life February 22, 1962 at the age 93 years, 3 months, and 5 days.
She united in marriage to John Dhone on February of 1902. To this union two children were born, one daughter, who passed away in infancy, one son Smith of Sioux City; a step son, Craig of Corning; one step daughter-in-law, Mrs. Smith Dhone; two sisters, Mrs. Walt Burton of Corning; Mrs. Lou Stoll of Prescott; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Sunday, February 25 at 1 p.m. from the Roland Funeral Home in Corning, Iowa with Rev. Alfred Hunter officiating. Music was by Mrs. Brown Garlock and Mrs. Dick Cook. Pall bearers were Perry Jones, Jack Hull, Tom Reed, Everett Fees, Vern Ashenfelzer, and Hugh Law. Interment was made in Walnut Grove Cemetery.
