Services for Carrie Louisa Lundquist, 87, Corning were held Tuesday, September 29, from Coen-Beaty Funeral Home, the Rev. Les Calhoun of Lenox officiating. Burial was a Prairie Rose Cemetery here.
Mrs. Lundquist was born November 28, 1904, in Lincoln Township. Mrs. Lundquist was born November 28, 1904, in Lincoln Township to William Milton and Nellie Hock Wycoff and died September 25, 1992 at Mercy Hospital.
She attended Fairview No. 6 school in Lincoln Township. Mrs. Lundquist was a long-time member of the Lincoln Center Church. On February 25, 1930, she married Carl Mannie Lundquist at the Methodist Parsonage in Corning. The Rev. G. E. Roberts officiated.
They began farming in Jasper Township and farmed three years southeast of Brooks. In 1933 they moved to Mercer Township east of Corning, where they lived for 24 years. Their last move was to a farm in Grant Township in 1957 where she lived until July of this year. She left the farm and moved to Colonial Manor six weeks before her death.
Mrs. Lundquist enjoyed helping with the farm chores and tending her vegetable and flower gardens.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in February 1976; a brother Dick Wycoff; and a sister, Ruth Wycoff.
She is survived by her son Charles (wife Deva) of Lenox; two daughters, Alice (James) Boozan of Warrantor, Missouri, and Doris (Bill) West of Clarinda; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
Casket bearers were Ray Johnson, Carol Little, Daniel Boozan, David Lundquist, Terry Lundquist, and Robert Lundquist.
