Mary Ruth, daughter of William and Nellie Wycoff was born in Adams County, Iowa, September 15, 1900, and passed from this life August 16, 1933 at the age of 32 years, 11 months, 1 day. Her entire life was spent in this community, with the exception of one year spent in Corning. Ruth united with the Lincoln Center Methodist Church at the age of 10 years and her Christian relationship was faithfully maintained as long as her health permitted.
She was a thoughtful, dutiful daughter, never causing her parents one moment of anxiety. Her first thoughts were for the comfort of her friends and loved ones. She was of a cheerful and sunny disposition, even in the face of great suffering, never complaining, but constantly seeing the bright side of life. To know her was to love her.
She leaves to mourn her passing, her mother and father; one brother, Dick, of Lincoln Township; one sister, Carrie Lundquist of Corning, and a host of relatives and friends.
The memory of her is blessed.
The funeral was held at the Lincoln Center Church, Friday, August 18, conducted by A. Breeling, a former pastor, and now pastor at Lewis, Iowa. Interment was made in the Lincoln Center Cemetery.
