Mary Hillyer Wycoff, 88, daughter of William Riley and Carried Dalta Embree Curry, was born November 4, 1903 in Montgomery County, near Grant, and died March 28, 1992 at Bergan Mercy Hospital, Omaha, Nebraska.
She attended rural school in Montgomery County and later earned her piano teaching certificate.
On February 25, 1927, she married William Hock “Dick” Wycoff at Grant. They were parents of four daughters. They lived in the Lincoln Center area all their married life until retiring to Corning in 1976.
She was a member of the Lincoln Center United Methodist Church and a past member of the Ladies Aid at Lincoln Center.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 1989; two sisters, two brothers; and two sons-in-law.
She is survived by her four daughters, Beulah Konecne of Corning, Mary Gully and her husband Larry of Davenport; Loretta Wycoff and Lois Stevens, both of Omaha, Nebraska; a sister, Ethel Botts of Grant; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 1, at Coen-Beaty Funeral Home in Corning with The Rev. Ken Rummer officiating. Pall bearers were Jerry Carr, Terry Curry, Don Drennan, Terry Dalton, Edward Maeder, and John McElwain. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery.
