Injuries Fatal To Clara Hargan, 11
Fall From Tree While At School
The death of Clara Jane Hargan, aged 11, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mervin Hargan, Tuesday afternoon resulted from injuries received last Friday when she fell from a tree in the school yard at Jasper No 2. The only injury evident at the time, was a wound above the left knee made by a branch of the tree. However, on Tuesday, she was taken much worse, presumably from internal injuries.
The Millard ambulance was called and the patient was being rushed to a hospital in Council Bluffs when she tied near Tensile. It is believed that internal hemorrhage caused her death. She was born April 15, 1928.
Funeral services were held at the church south of Books, Thursday afternoon at 9:30, conducted by Rev. Silas Overhulser of Earlham. Burial will be in Methodist Grove Cemetery, Brooks.
