Mrs. Wayne Kimpson
Alberta Alice Lee Kimpson, daughter of Alice Marcella Embree and Clifford DeVoss Lee was born April 1, 1916 in Adams County, Iowa and passed away December 13, 1964.
She spent her entire life in Adams County, Cass, and Montgomery Counties. On January 10, 1933, she was united in marriage to Wayne Scott Kimpson. To this union nine children were born: Mrs. Donald Yarger (Delores) of Massena; Russell Kimpson of Campbell, California, Raymond Kimpson of Mankato, Minnesota, Mrs. Hollie Smith (Dorothy) of San Jose, California, Mrs. David Moore (Roberta) of Forrest Park, Georgia, Mrs. Warren Elwood (Virginia) of Griswold, Mrs. Jack Gregory (Anieta) of Council Bluffs, Stanley Kimpson of Corning, and Steven Kimpson of Griswold.
Surviving besides her children and husband are 17 grandchildren, her mother, Mrs. J. J. Spring of Corning, three sisters, Mrs. Judd Griffith of Corning, Mrs. Grover Allen of Wallace, Idaho, and Mrs. Lou Fisher of Villisca; many nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
During her lifetime, she was always ready with a helping hand and cheerful smile. She was a very patient sufferer during her illness.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, December 16 at 1:30 p.m. from the Lincoln Center Church with Rev. Carl Rayburn and Rev. A. Breeling officiating. Interment was in the Lincoln Center Cemetery.
