Services for Viva Pearl Johnson, 104, Corning were scheduled for 1 p.m. Wednesday, October 21, from the Corning Christian Church, the Rev. Max Nelson officiating. Burial was to be in Walnut Grove Cemetery.
Mrs. Johnson was born September 25, 188 at Corning, Iowa to Clark and Lucy Shields Daggett, and died October 18, 1992, at Colonial Manor.
She lived most of her life in Adams County, as a homemaker and musician. She was a member of the Corning Christian Church, Royal Rebekah Lodge, District No. 2, and Women's Relief Corps.
She married Charles Franklin Johnson in 1904 at Corning.
Preceding her in death were her husband, two sons, Edward and Clarence, two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Survivors include a daughter Ruth Kerns of Corning, nine grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and some great-great grandchildren.
Casket bearers were her grandsons.
A memorial has been established in her name.
Roland-Lindsay Golden Rule Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
