Eliza Ann McKemson was born April 27, 1855 in Stephenson County, Illinois, the eldest daughter of John and Mebitzble Mckesson; one brother Wilson and one sister Minerva preceded her in death, she being the last of her family.
Mrs. Robison passed into rest January 25, 1929, at the home of her son, Ira, near Carbon, Iowa, at the age of 73 years, 8 months, and 28 days, after a lingering illness.
On October 29, 1872, she was united in marriage to Datis Robison at Quincy. They were pioneers of the county.
Two this union was born eleven children: Harmon, Howard, Minerva, William, Lizzie, Josephine, Joe, John, Ira, May, and Harry. Two children having preceded their mother to the great beyond. Howard passed away in infancy and Josephine in 1909. Her husband passed away September 5, 1914.
Mrs. Robison leaves her six sons and three daughters, twenty-nine grandchildren, and fifty-five great grandchildren, besides a host of friends to mourn her departure.
Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Roberts, Methodist minister of Corning from Carbon Church, Sunday afternoon, January 27th.
Six of her grandchildren were pall bearers. The body was laid to rest next her departed loved ones in Oakland Cemetery at Quincy.
