Henry Jobe Figgins, son of Jobe and Orphan G. Cart Figgins, was born September 5, 1897 in Adams County, Iowa and passed away at the Veteran's Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska, December 24, 1975 after a long illness, at the age of 78 years, 3 months, and 19 days.
He was united in marriage to Anna J. Roberts on December 26, 1921. He had lived in Adams County all of his life except for four years of Naval service during World War II. There were no children born in this union.
He is survived by his wife, Anna, one brother, Herman Figgins, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father, two brothers, Jessie R. and James E. and three sisters, Etta, Alma, and Clara.
Funeral services were held at the Larkin Roland Funeral Home in Coring, Iowa, December 26 at 1:30 p.m., with Joe Cook officiating. Burial was in the Quincy Cemetery.
Music was provided by Larry Johnson. Pall bearers were Elmo Olson, Russell Anderson, Don Wolfe, Jim Olson, Byran Goodvin, and Edward Hoyt.
