Delmar Clyde Arnott, son of Frank and Margaret Gindelsparger Arnott, was born November 30, 1904 in Adams County, Iowa and departed this life on October 25, 1962 at the age of 57 years, 10 months, and 25 days.
He was united in marriage on December 21, 1929 to Esther Marie Barker. She preceded him in death.
On December 26, 1947 he was united in marriage to Thelma Yarrington Cihak.
He was a member of the Nodaway Presbyterian Church. He was engaged in farming all of his life except three years when he was employed by the Mental Health Institute in Clarinda, work which he enjoyed very much.
He was preceded in depth by his mother who died in 1930 and his father who died in 1955.
He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife, Thelma; two step daughters, Mrs. Marilyn Agnew of Corning and Mrs. Lois Baldwin of Des Moines, two sons-in-law, Kenneth Agnew and Clifford Baldwin; two grandchildren Ray Dean and Kay Lynn Agnew; his step mother Mrs. Grace Arnott; one brother, Ralph and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was a kind and loving husband and father, always willing to lend a helping hand to others.
Funeral services were held Sunday, October 28 at 2 p.m. from the Presbyterian Church at Nodaway with Rev. W. M. Sinning officiating. Music was by Mrs. Shipley, Mrs. Carol Lewis, and Mrs. Rose Stalder. Pall bearers were Ivan Brown, Paul Bennett, Richard Kingery, Hal Fulton, Glen Davis, and Charles Stine. Flower bearers were Mrs. Hal Fulton and Mrs. Wayne Johnson. Interment was in the Nodaway Cemetery.
