Mrs. George Billingsley died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Stella Bilderback near Mt. Etna, Saturday, April 10, 1901, aged 86 years, 8 months, and 3 days. Miss Margaret Fleharty was born October 7, 1841 in Henry County, Illinois, where she grew to womanhood and was married to George Billingsley August 7, 1862. To this union six children were born. They are Mrs. Minnie Brown of Walnut, Kansas, A. L. Billingsley of Oshkosh, Nebraska, James Billingsley of Lewellen, Nebraska, O. R. Billingsley of Massena, Iowa, Mrs. Zella Helvie of Briscoe, Iowa and Stella Bilderback of Mt. Etna, all of whom, with the exception of James Billingsley, attended the funeral services, which were held at the First Baptist Church, Tuesday, April 13th at 2 o'clock, conducted by Rev. C. W. Hollingsworth, of Stuart, Iowa and interment was made in the Baptist Cemetery nearby. When quite young, Mrs. Billingsley united with the M. E. Church and afterward with the Seventh Day Adventist Church and always lived an exemplary life. Mr. and Mrs. Billingsley were residents of the vicinity of Quincy for a number of years, having located there in 1866, and the family have many friends there who extend sympathy to the reatives in their sorrow.
