Wilkinson, Orville (Pistol) -
Orville "Pistol" Wilkinson, age 89 of Corning, formerly of Prescott (since 1943), passed away at the Corning Nursing and
Rehab Center, Corning on November 29, 2003.
Mr. Wilkinson was born January 30, 1914, In Henderson, IA to Charles Lewis and Grace Ellen (Warren) Wilkinson. He
married Pauline Berniece Sanford on November 11, 1935 in Bedford.
He was a member of Circle Lodge #555, AF&AM in Prescott, Order of the Eastern Star Lodge #554, Prescott
member of the NFO and was a 4-H leader when his children were younger.
He is survived by his wife, Pauline "Polly", Wilkinson, Corning, A son, LaRell (Colleen) Wilkinson, Lenox a daughter
Sandy (Daryl) Rectenbach of Bridgewater and Shirley Wilkinson, Prescott. A sister-in-law, Effie Wilkinson of
Corning.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Marion, Harold, Darrell, infant brother, Arther; sisters, Faye Tiffe,
Erma Lawrence; son, Darwin, an infant grandson, Baby Rechtenbach, sisters-in-law, Ruth & Maxine Wilkinson. brothers-in-law
Elmer Tiffe and Ernest Lawrence.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 3, 2003 at Coen-Beaty-Pearson Family Funeral Service, Corning
Masonic Service by Circle Lodge #555, Prescott. The service will be conducted by Rev. Dr. Jeanne Groom, Prescott United
Church, Pasto, Jeff Hontz, Grace Baptist Church, and Pastor, Tim Maxa, Lenox Presbyterian Church
Burial will be m the Mt. Zion Cemetery, Prescott. Open visitation from 108 p.m. Tuesday with family receiving friends from
6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Coen-Beaty-Pearson Funeral Home, Corning.
Memorials may be made to Corning Nursing and Rehab Center and/or Prescott United Church.
