Funeral services for Clarissa Wallace, age 87, of Corning were held Sept. 26 at the United Methodist Church in Corning with Pastor Andrew Rubenking officiating. Burial was in Nodaway Cemetery. Coen-Beaty-Pearson Family Funeral Service was in charge of arrangements.
Clarissa was born Dec. 19, 1914, in Brooks, Iowa, and passed away on Sept. 23 in St. Joseph Hospital in Omaha.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John Frederick Stalder and Georgia Anna (Roberts) Stalder. On Dec. 31, 1933 she married Marion Paul Wallace. She was a homemaker who lived her entire life in the Corning and Adams County areas.
Survivors include daughters Marge (husband Harold) Voggessor of Maryville, Mo., and Marilyn Hollinrake of Corning; son Ron (wife Mary) Wallace of Elsberry, Mo.; brother Leo (wife Dixie) Stalder of Corning, sisters, Leona (husband Dean)Kester of Corning and Evelyn Hardisty of Corning, eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1997; brothers Melvin Stalder, Edgar Stalder and Alvin Stalder; an infant sister;and brother-in-law Paul Hardisty.
