Flossie Narigon, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ezra C. Brown, was born April 17, 1902 in Page County, Iowa and passed away August 19, 1983 at the Rosary Hospital in Corning, Iowa, after an extended illness. She was 81 years, 4 months, and 2 days old.
She graduated from Villisca High School, Crest Junior College, and the University of Nebraska at Lincoln. She taught in the rural schools in Iowa and Nebraska for seven years.
June 27, 1927, she was married to Virgil O. Narigon who survives. Mrs. Narigon was active in 4-H for many years, was a member of the Adams County Farm Bureau Women, and the United Methodist Church in Nodaway.
Survivors, besides her husband are two daughters, Effie Lee Boggess of Villisca, and Elinor Newman of Littleton, Colorado; two sons, Joe of Indianola and Don of Nodaway, Iowa, 19 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren, four sisters and a brother.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services were held at the Methodist Church in Nodaway, August 22, at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Steven Wainwright officiating. Burial was in the Nodaway Cemetery.
Music was furnished by Rob Dunn, vocalist, accompanied by Brenda Dunn. Pallbearers were Richard and Mark Boggess and Ed, Tom,, David, and Douglas Narigon. Mrs. Ruth goldsmith and Mrs. Ruth Hoyt were flower bearers. Mrs. Alvin Heard and Mrs. K. K. Kennedy were in charge of the registry book. Ushers were Earl Goldsmith and Marion Hendrickson.
