Effie May Narigon
Mrs. Oscar Narigon died at her home seven miles west and three south of Corning, iSunday morning at 2 o'clock. She was aged atoout 41 years and 3 months. Beside her husband Mrs. Narigon leaves two sons and a daughter, also a number of other relatives. Funeral services were held at the Advent church west of Corning, Tuesday afternoon at, 1:30, conducted by Rev. Mr. Sweet, of Villisea. Interment was made in the Nodaway cemetery.

Mrs. J. O. Narigon died at her home in Douglas Township, Sunday morning, September 13, 1914, as was mentioned last week. The lady passed away about 1 o'clock in the morning. The funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday afternoon at the Highland Advent Christian Church, conducted by Elder C. H. Sweet. Interment was made in the Nodaway Cemetery.
Effie May Bixler was born May 22, 1873 at Brooks, Iowa. Her parents were John and Savilla Bixler, both of whom preceded her in death. Miss Bixler grew to womanhood on the Bixler farm in Douglas Township. She was married to J. Oscar Narigon on the 6th of August, 1902. To this union were born three children, all of whom survive the mother. They are Virgil, aged 11 years, Ethel May, aged 8, and John, aged 6. Besides her husband and children, Mrs. Narigon leaves four brothers, B. F. Bixler of Madison, Tennessee; J. T. Bixler of Hitchcock, South Dakota, R. A. and John M. Bixler of this vicinity; also three sisters, Mrs. H. E. L. Hoyt, Mrs. Jacob Markley, Mrs. H. E. Coleman, all residents of Adams County. Mrs. Narigon was aged 41 years, 3 months, and 8 days. She spent her lifetime in this community and was known and loved by many friends, who deeply sympathize with the bereaved relatives in their loss.
