Bernadean Olive Fudge, the daughter of Charles and Viola Templeman Chapman, was born Aug. 27, 1913 in Adams County, Iowa, and passed away Sept. 23, 1983 at Colonial Manor Nursing Home in Corning, Iowa, after a long illness.
She was united in marriage Sept. 25, 1931 with Everett Fudge. Two children were born to bless this union. Her early years were spent in rural Adams and Cass counties. Several years of her married life were spent in California. After the death of her husband, she returned to Coming where she served as an Avon representative. She fully enjoyed this opportunity, for it created many lasting friendships.
Bemadean was a member of the Eastern Star and was an active member of the Corning Christian Church. Her greatest pleasure in life was her family, and especially her grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents, her beloved husband and a grandson, Marty Fudge.
Those surviving to cherish her memory are two children, Boyd Fudge and his wife Cleo and Linda Fudge, all of Corning; her grandchildren, Terri Walter and her husband Jim; Jim and Tammi Fudge and Melissa Peterson: and a great-granddaughter, Amy Walter, all of Coming.
Funeral services were held at the Gauthier Funeral Home in Corning Sept. 25 at 2:00 p.m., with Rev. Kenneth Rummer officiating.
Burial was in Prairie Rose Cemetery, Corning. Organ music was provided by Kathy Schafer. Casketbearers were Paul Hardisty, Stanley Ranck, Jim Walter, Paul Odson, Wayne Badgett and Roy Badgett.
